Uniforms, Kilts, Dartmoor and Ceilidhs
Well, after a very rainy week the weather was glorious for Ruth and Asa's wedding at Tavistock's St. Eustacious Church and their wild Ceilidh reception at Lamerton Village Hall.
Asa was planning to use an Army photographer colleague for his wedding photography but was let down when army operations meant his friend was unavailable. He called me up from Yorkshire and in typical Scottish tradition drove a hard bargain for our services at fairly short notice! But I fell for it when I heard the plans he and Ruth had for their special day.
We had beautiful December light last Saturday that complimented Ruth's gorgeous looks and all those kilt colours and patterns. My new Canon 5D Mk II performed fabulously in the low light of St. Eustacious Church and to top it all we popped up to my favourite landscape venue Dartmoor for a few romantic couple photos and for a bit of private time for Ruth and Asa.
And then when they unleashed a Ceilidh band upon a very merry crowd a fabulous time was absolutely had by all....Mag and I included.
