Sarah and David returned home to Devon from Perth, Australia for their wedding at St. Petroc's in Dartmouth with celebrations at the new Dartmouth Apprentice. It was the first time family and friends had met their beautiful new daughter Rosie so there were lots of hugs and cuddles going on all day. We had wind, rain and sun and had to cancel a boat ride back to town on the Castle Ferry. But the joy of seeing old friends and family again kept a smile on everybody's face all day.
Sarah looked stunning all day and we all thoroughly enjoyed seeing their love for each other during their first dance together.

I had a lovely day in Dartmouth on Saturday up at BRNC - Britannia Royal Naval College - in Dartmouth. Darren and Fiona both were getting ready at The Royal Castle hotel down in town and we had very 'near miss' when Fiona arrive back from the hairdressers as Darren was leaving to walk up to the college. Fiona ducked into a shop doorway and secrecy was preserved.

The 1905 built college and chapel provide some stunning backdrops for some beautiful wedding photography and I managed to capture some wonderful images as Fiona and Darren took their 'private-time' wander around the college and grounds. Here's a dozen of my favourites from their day.

Paula and Mark chose pretty St. Petroc's church by Dartmouth Castle for their wedding last Saturday. St. Petroc's is both a challenge and a joy for a wedding photographer. It has no electric light and is lit only with candles. A lovely atmosphere but a bit dark for the camera. We can cope with this of course and delivered some lovely wedding photos for Paula and Mark to treasure forever.

Victoria and Stuart had lovely weather for their wedding at St. Petroc's, Dartmouth and The Grand Hotel, Torquay. St. Petroc's is the perfect church for some lovely wedding photography. Paula looked fabulous in the dappled sunlight and candle lit church. We had a bit of a wait for the ferry back to Torbay but no problem one of the guests got out his banjo!

Esther's parents live in Kingswear overlooking the River Dart and Dartmouth so a river focused wedding was clearly the way to go. The bridal party arrived by ferry from Kingswear at the Dart Marina hotel for the wedding. Richard and Esther took a boat ride after the ceremony for a bit of private time and the evening party was on the Dart Explorer cruising up and down the river. A great time was had by all.
